Whether you’re drawn to the elegant charm of a Victorian or Edwardian design, the modern appeal of a P-shaped space, or something completely unique, we can create a custom large conservatory just for you.
Every large conservatory we build is made to measure and finished to an exceptional standard. Choose from luxury hardwoods, contemporary aluminium, or high-performance uPVC — each offering distinct advantages in aesthetics, thermal performance, and longevity.
We offer three excellent options: timber provides traditional charm and natural beauty; aluminium offers contemporary styling with slim sightlines that maximise glazed area; while uPVC combines practical benefits with excellent insulation and low maintenance. We’ll help you choose the perfect material to complement your home and budget.
The roof is one of the most important decisions for any conservatory — and for large builds, it has an even greater impact on comfort, appearance, and year-round usability. We offer a range of roof systems to suit every style and budget:
Our team will talk you through every option and recommend the right system for your space, your home, and how you plan to use it.
One of the most common questions we hear is: do I need planning permission for a large conservatory?
Most conservatories fall under Permitted Development rights — meaning no formal planning application is needed, provided the build meets specific size, height, and boundary conditions. However, larger conservatories are more likely to approach or exceed those limits, and properties within conservation areas, on listed buildings, or in designated zones across Cheltenham and the Cotswolds may have additional requirements.
We understand the intricacies of navigating building regulations and planning permission, especially within conservation areas, and we can offer expert guidance when liaising with local authorities. You won’t need to navigate any of it alone — our team handles planning considerations as part of our full service.
Embarking on a large home improvement project should be exciting — not stressful. From the initial design spark to the final finishing touch, we prioritise exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail, keeping you informed every step of the way.
Our multi-skilled in-house team means we can handle everything from designing, installation, and bespoke carpentry without needing to bring in external contractors. With over 20 years of experience and a named Project Manager assigned to your build, you’ll have one dedicated point of contact from your free consultation right through to completion.
We've answered some commonly asked questions to help you make an informed decision about your home improvement project. If you have any other questions, please get in touch!
Contact UsUnder current Permitted Development rules, a rear conservatory on a detached house must not extend more than 4 metres from the original rear wall (3 metres for all other house types), must not cover more than 50% of the land around the original house, and must not exceed 4 metres in height. Larger builds may also require a neighbour consultation. Our team will confirm exactly what applies to your specific property from the very first conversation.
Edwardian, Gable-ended, P-shaped, and T-shaped conservatories all lend themselves particularly well to larger footprints. For homeowners who want to create multiple defined areas within a single structure, P-shaped and T-shaped designs are especially popular. We can also design something entirely bespoke if your home or vision calls for it.
Absolutely — with the right specification. The key is choosing the right combination of glazing, roof system, and frame material. Our high-quality conservatories are designed with insulating technology to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, making your large conservatory a genuinely comfortable, usable space throughout the year.
We offer three excellent options: timber, aluminium, and uPVC. Timber provides traditional charm and natural beauty; aluminium offers contemporary styling with minimal maintenance; and uPVC combines excellent insulation with classic appeal. We’ll help you find the best match for your home, budget, and the style of conservatory you have in mind.
Costs vary depending on style, size, materials, and specification. Because every large conservatory we build is completely bespoke, it’s difficult to provide an accurate guide price without first understanding your vision and your property. We’d always recommend getting in touch for a free, no-obligation consultation — we’ll be more than happy to discuss your ideas and provide a tailored quote.
