The replacement door market has become increasingly crowded in recent years with multiple door solutions of varying degrees of quality available to buyers. A low-quality front door can put your home at a very real risk of burglary, which is why it is essential to have an entranceway that offers security and stylishness in equal amounts. Here at the Little Conservatory Company, we install the UK’s best uPVC, composite doors, aluminium doors and timber doors from the likes of Solidor and Aluk.
Prior to the growing popularity of composite doors, UPVC doors were the favoured door choice for most homeowners, largely due to their weather-resistant and maintenance-free exterior. People had become fed up of the continuous upkeep required to preserve the lifespan and performance of a traditional wooden door i.e. sanding, varnishing, and repainting. However, there’s no doubting that the thickness and toughness of a hardwood door outdo the much slenderer UPVC door when it comes to strength.
So, UPVC doors and hardwood doors both have their good points and bad points. If only there was a happy medium. Step forward the composite door.
A composite door is manufactured from various materials which helps give it resilience and enduring beauty that you just won’t get from any other door type. Underneath that handsome outer skin is a mixture of wood and numerous other insulating constituents, also aiding with energy efficiency. For this reason, you will find that purchasing a composite door generally requires a larger outlay than buying a conventional UPVC door, but the extra investment is most definitely worthwhile.
In addition to the composite entranceway, you will also find composite French doors, patio doors and stable doors offering the exact same standard of performance. We have composite doors to suit every type of home. Please call us for a quote or to request a brochure.

Paul was brilliant from start to finish, giving us ideas that we had never considered. Completed the job in the time stated and left everything clean and tidy. We had a few common issues after the conservatory was up, but Paul was quick to come out and solve these. We would highly recommend Paul and plan to use him again in the future.
Great service and very professional. Would use again.

Paul recently replaced the fascia and sofit boards all around my house and repaired the concrete in my drive. He was very good, a very pleasant man to get along with and the price was certainly less than I was expecting. He did a quick, decent job with no mess left. I would certainly use him again in the future.
Paul did some general maintenance jobs for me at a very reasonable rate and whilst I was away. Very pleased with results when I got back. Easy people to deal with - even neighbours commented on how pleasant they were. Would recommend highly.

Paul repaired a door for me. It was a basic job - replacing a locking mechanism. He was professional, reasonably priced, good communication. I am happy with what he did, would use him again and recommend him.
